10008 — ws_policy

A 1008 policy close whose reason did not match a named refusal identifier. Treat it as terminal until the reason is known.

What to do

• Log the raw close reason text — that is the whole point of this catch-all identifier.
• Most 1008 closes are actually one of the named refusals; check auth_refused, not_member, and token_expired first.
• The Worker also uses 1008 for protocol_unsupported and bare Unauthorized / Forbidden reasons — those arrive here too.
