How-to Guides
Cloudflare Agents in a FluxyChat room
AIChatAgent as a room participant. Complementary to Cloudflare Agents, not a replacement Agent class.
Cloudflare Agents put the agent in a Durable Object. FluxyChat puts humans and invokeAgent on a room Durable Object. Use both: keep your AIChatAgent for one-to-one tool loops, join the room as a user so other people see the same timeline.
import { FluxyChatClient } from "@fluxy-chat/sdk";
export async function joinRoomFromCloudflareAgent(opts: {
workerUrl: string;
token: string;
userId: string;
roomId: string;
}) {
const client = new FluxyChatClient({
baseUrl: opts.workerUrl,
userId: opts.userId,
token: opts.token,
});
client.connect(opts.roomId);
return client;
}packages/cloudflare-agents re-exports this helper. It does not wrap @cloudflare/ai-chat. You still write the Agent class.
Do not rebase the Room DO onto the Agents SDK.
